Get Out the Vote Training for Non-Profits and Community Groups

“Democracy is not a Spectators Sport” is a slogan from the national Grassroots Solutions.  They have formed a Minnesota based project called The Minnesota Participation Project (MPP) and will be coming to Moorhead August 18th to assist People Escaping Poverty Project and other non-profit groups in effective voter registration and education activities.

MPP works with organizations in developing strategic plans, tools for expanding a volunteer base, assists in mobilizing supporters and creates a permanent capacity for ongoing grassroots advocacy efforts.

The Minnesota Participation Project is an initiative of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits whose goal is to maximize the potential of
non-profits and community groups by empowering them with the skills and tools needed to do voter mobilization work successfully. Grassroots solutions is providing much of the background work, materials, as well as organizing, coordinating, and directing many of the trainings and clinics.

Non-profits, church groups individual people and clubs are invited to join us for a 3 hour workshop August 18th at the Moorhead Public Library.  The workshop will begin at 1:00 PM and end at 4:00 PM and is free and open to both North Dakota and Minnesota based groups.
